Before we start, make sure you have selected which RDP Client you will be using to connect to your server(s).
We recommend using Microsoft RDP Client. They have multiple versions available for Windows, Mac, IOS, and Android so you can access your server from anywhere even on the go.

Setup your AWS account via the AWS signup page. Once your account has been made and you've verified it you can sign in, remember to sign in as a "Root User".
This step is pretty simple, just go to the dropdown next to your username and set the location to N.Virginia or Ohio for the most optimal speeds.
Go under services and select EC2, you will then want to select Launch Instances.
Under Quick Start select "Windows" and then it should default to Microsoft Windows Server 2022 Base.
Once you have decided on the specs and are comfortable with the hourly rate of your selected server, you can then choose the appropiate instance type here:
Next you will have to select/create a new key pair for your server. This is a security measure and this key pair is a file that you should leave somewhere on your PC as you will need it to connect to your server. If this is your first AWS server then you need to create a new key pair, you can then use that same key pair on any future servers you decide to create.
Continue through all the configuration pages until you get to the end and are able to launch the server. There's no need to actually edit any of the settings on the config pages so leave them as is. You will now proceed to launch the instance.
Your server should be ready now, upon initially launching the server, it will automatically start up. You can find all of your active / inactive instances by clicking on "Instances" on the left hand side of your screen.
Find the instance and right click on it then select "Start Instance". Next you will want to right click again and select "Connect". On this page go to RDP Client and download the remote desktop file and then click "Get Password". You will have to use your Key Pair to decrypt the password, once you have the password be sure to save it as it stays the same for that individual server. Open the RDP file you downloaded using Microsoft Remote Desktop and input the password when prompted. Now you'll be on your server.
If you would like to use Royal TS to connect to your server, you can then refer to your Royal TS guide here.
Your server comes preinstalled with Internet Explorer and its usually locked with extra security measures so you need to disable the extra security first. To do this log onto your server and open the "Server Manager" application. Click on "Local Server" on the left sidebar, and locate where it says "IE Enhanced Security Configuration". Select the security setting and turn it OFF. Now launch Internet Explorer and go to https://www.google.com/chrome/ to download Chrome.
Lastly, you will need to install any bots you plan to run and complete your setup normally.
Once your done, be sure to shut down your servers so you don't continue to get charged while you aren't using the server.
Just so you are aware, you will still get charged for storage even if you are not using the server, so if you make a server and are no longer using it, be sure to terminate it afterwards.
Follow the same steps that you did in Step 7 to connect to your server before a release.
